Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Services

The questions your buyers ask, assigned to pages that answer them in the opening lines, marked up so the answer can be quoted, and measured before and after.

What answer engine optimization covers

A question map built from real queries

The questions your buyers actually type — from People Also Ask, assistant prompts, Search Console queries and the ones that arrive in your inbox. Not a list invented at a whiteboard.

One question per page, answered first

Each question gets one owner page, and that page answers it in the opening forty to sixty words — before the background, the credentials and the sales copy.

Answer formats that survive extraction

A definition, a table of options, a numbered procedure, a figure with the date it was true. These are the shapes answer engines lift. A paragraph of hedging is not one of them.

Answer boxes and AI Overviews, not only chatbots

The same work is measurable in classic Google search today, where the answer box and the AI Overview sit above your ranked link and take the click you were counting on.

Markup that repeats the visible answer

FAQPage, HowTo and Article data that matches the text on the page rather than a second, tidier version of it, so the page and its structured data say the same thing.

Inclusion measured question by question

A frozen set of questions run before the work and after it, across Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity, so the report says which answers you now appear in — and which you still don't.

AEO vs SEO vs GEO: three terms, three different jobs

The three labels are sold interchangeably and they are not the same work. SEO gets a link ranked so a person clicks it. Answer engine optimization gets your wording lifted into the answer itself — Google's answer box and AI Overview, an assistant's reply, a voice result — whether or not a click follows. Generative engine optimization is about being named as a provider when someone asks who to hire, which is a recommendation rather than an answer to a factual question.

The honest way to tell them apart is what each one measures. SEO counts positions and clicks. AEO counts the questions your page appears in as the answer. GEO counts how often you are named among the two or three companies an assistant suggests. A site can do well at one and badly at the other two, which is why a single number for AI visibility says almost nothing.

Most businesses need parts of all three, and the order matters more than the labels. Everything about visibility and accuracy across AI assistants, including which of those services applies to you, is set out on the page about AI SEO and GEO optimization.

What answer engine optimization changes on a page

An example from this site, because it is the clearest kind. The Polish SEO audit page carried the heading "Ile kosztuje audyt SEO?" — how much does an SEO audit cost — and contained no price anywhere on it. The figure lived on the pricing page instead. Ranking was never the problem: the page could not be the answer to the question it asked, because it did not hold one.

The fix is unglamorous, and it is most of what AEO actually is. The question is restated as a heading in the words people use. The answer follows in the next sentence, with a number and the date it was true. The caveats and the detail come after it, not before. The same figure appears in the structured data, so the markup repeats the page rather than paraphrasing it. Then the paragraph can be quoted — by a featured snippet, by an AI Overview, by an assistant reading the page.

What this is not: adding a frequently asked questions block to the bottom of every page. Questions nobody asks, answered in text nobody reads, change nothing except the size of the page.

When AEO is not the work you need

If assistants describe your company incorrectly — old prices, services you dropped, a capability credited to a competitor — that is accuracy work, and the fix is correcting the source they read, not reformatting your pages. If you do not yet know what is said about you, the measurement comes first: an AI visibility audit answers that for a defined set of prompts instead of a single screenshot.

If the site cannot be read without executing JavaScript, or its facts are not stated as claims anything can check, then preparing the website for AI search comes before any question mapping. Answer formatting on a page a fetcher never finishes reading is worth nothing. And if the answers are already right and the real question is whether they hold, that is AI brand monitoring, which is a subscription rather than a project.

AEO is the layer above all of those: which questions you intend to own, and whether your wording is the version that gets quoted.

A question bubble runs along a row of grey results and lifts two highlighted bars out of the line.

How the work runs

  1. The question list

We agree on the questions worth owning — what your buyers ask, what already brings impressions, and what your competitors are being quoted for.

  2. Baseline

Every question on the list is asked in Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and the answers are recorded, so there is a before to compare against.

  3. Pages rewritten and marked up

Each question gets one owner page: the question as a heading, the answer in the opening lines, a format that can be extracted, and structured data that repeats it.

  4. Re-test

The same questions asked again after the pages are re-crawled, with the change written down per question — including the ones that did not move.
