Cleaning company website development
I build websites for cleaning companies: a calculator that returns a price before any contact, separate paths for homes and businesses, and photo-based estimates for harder jobs.

What the site includes
A calculator that gives a number immediately
Area, rooms, frequency and type of work in, an estimate out — before any contact. I've built exactly this kind of parameter-based calculator for a client, where selecting a few options produces a price on the spot. It converts visitors who would never have filled in an enquiry form to ask.
Separate paths for homes and businesses
Two structures, two sets of questions. Private clients want price, timing and who's coming; business clients want contracts, invoicing, references and cover arrangements. Each gets pages written for them.
Trust made explicit
Who your staff are, how they're vetted, whether the company is insured, what happens if something breaks. Stating this plainly is the strongest differentiator available in this field, precisely because competitors leave it unsaid.
Photo-based estimates for complex jobs
For post-renovation or heavily soiled work, an estimate from a description is guesswork. Letting a client upload photos gives an accurate quote and removes a site visit — I've built photo-upload estimation for a client where it substantially changed how enquiries arrived.
Recurring arrangements, not just one-off jobs
Regular cleaning is where the business is. The site should make signing up for a repeating schedule as easy as booking once, with payment handled where you want it.
Local search by area
LocalBusiness structured data, correct address and hours, and pages for the districts you cover — the signals that determine whether you appear for someone searching in their own neighbourhood.
Two questions decide it, and most sites answer neither
Someone looking for a cleaning company arrives with two questions in mind. What will this cost, and can I trust these people in my home. Almost every site in the field answers the first with "contact us" and the second not at all.
The price question is the more surprising omission, because cleaning is genuinely calculable. Area, number of rooms, frequency, whether it's routine or post-renovation — a handful of inputs produces a defensible estimate. A calculator that returns a number on the spot converts a large share of visitors who would never have filled in an enquiry form just to ask what it costs, and it filters out those whose expectations were never going to match. I've built parameter-based calculators of exactly this kind, where a few selections produce a price immediately.
For harder jobs, photographs solve what a form can't. Post-renovation work or heavily soiled spaces can't be estimated from a description, and the usual answer is a site visit that costs both sides time. Letting a client upload photos in the enquiry gives an accurate quote without leaving the office — I've implemented this for a client, and it changed the character of incoming enquiries entirely.
Trust is the second question, and the one competitors leave open. Cleaning is unusual among services: you are asking for access to someone's home or office, frequently with keys and no one present. Who your people are, whether they're vetted, whether the company carries insurance, and what happens if something is damaged — these aren't reassurance copy, they're the actual decision criteria. Saying them plainly is the strongest available differentiator precisely because so few do.
Underneath both sits the split between private and commercial clients. They are not the same business. A household books on price and convenience and decides in an afternoon; a company signs a contract, needs invoicing and references, and decides over weeks. One page addressed to both persuades neither and ranks for neither set of searches.
How the work goes
We define the services and segments
What you clean, for whom, how you price it, and which segment you want more of.
I design the structure
How the calculator works, how private and commercial paths separate, where trust content sits, and which service types get their own pages.
Build and optimise
Design, development, calculator, photo-based estimates where useful, booking and recurring arrangements, local SEO and structured data.
Launch and support
The site goes live, your team manages prices, areas and content, and I stay available as the company grows.
